#IamChiChi Advert

Here is the advert I styled hair on recently for ChiChi London… it was a long day at a beautiful venue and a hard working team: It just proves how much work goes into a short commercial… I suggested my mohawk to the producer and director when they said they wanted an outstanding hairdo… I achieved very quickly due to time pressures – which, is expected on-set sometimes – and i used Balmain hair pieces and Batiste dry shampoo… if you have not seen the advert yet… here it is:  (Thanks to Damien, one of the V-team who supported me)

Bridal Hair Flowers Stylist Kent

#Flowers in the #Hair

By Hair Tips & Tutorials No Comments

As requested from my previous post here is some more info on flowers as hair accessories:

Modern brides are really loving the flower look these days… And we are talking fresh flowers… so here are the best flowers that I’ve worked with on bridal looks…
1)Orchids (my personal favourite),
2)Daisies,
3)Freesia,
4)Stephanotis
5) wax flower,
6) spray roses,
7) baby’s breath,
8) Ivy
9) Peony
10)Crysthanamum

TOP TIP: The Bride’s florist must choose flowers that are in full bloom, so the petals are fully open. Otherwise if the flower is still in a bud shape, it will look very awkward and protrude out of the hairstyle! It’s important to have the loose flowers on a wired stem to make it easier to secure into the hairstyle.

#Spring time classic bridal hair

By Hair Tips & Tutorials No Comments

Spring arrives and it is the marking of new beginnings, the blooming of flowers and fruit and the start of bridal season… It is a great time of year to marry the partner of your dreams, and for a bridal hairdresser it is fabulous to have an array of flowers to choose from for fresh accessories in the hair.

This style is sleek and classic, so subtle flowers with one larger statement flower looks great. But flowers can be worn in vintage styles, modern bridal hair and you can have lots of flowers decorating a boho bridal hair do… so be inspired by nature and talk to your bridal hairdresser about fresh flowers as the perfect hair accessory for your spring wedding.
